Presentation of European Science Foundation (ESF) and project GReGAS

Dr. Aigars Ekers representative of European Science Foundation (ESF) will on Wednesday, 2.11.2011, visit UP PINT, the supporting organization of the project GReGAS – the first European mathematical project, coordinated from Slovenia. At 12 o'clock at UP FAMNIT he will present activities of ESF, cooperation in the context of project GReGAS, and in cooperation with the researches of UP PINT also the project itself.

invite

To the presentation of the activites of  European Science Foundation (ESF)

and project GReGAS

that will take place

on 2.11.2011 at 12 o'clock in the small lecture room UP FAMNIT (Glagoljaška 8, Koper).

The activities will be represented by dr. Aigars Ekers, representative of ESF.

Dr. Aigars Ekers representative of European Science Foundation (ESF) will on Wednesday, 2.11.2011, visit UP PINT, the supporting organization of the project GReGAS – the first European mathematical project, coordinated from Slovenia. At 12 o'clock at UP FAMNIT he will present activities of ESF, cooperation in the context of project GReGAS, and in cooperation with the researches of UP PINT also the project itself.

The project GReGas (Geometric representations and symmetries of graphs, maps and other discrete structures and applications in science) is coordinated by prof. dr. Tomaž Pisanski and prof. dr. Dragan Marušič and is performed in the context of programme Eurocordes/Eurogiga. It includes not only partners from Croatia, Germany, Slovakia and Turkey, but also associated partnets, top mathematicians from Austria, Izrael, New Zealand, Great Britain and USA.

 

Update:  On Thursday 3 November Dr. Ekers visited Slovenian Research Agency and met with the director Dr. Franci Demšar. After that a short presentation by Dr. Ekers on ESF activities followed at University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, where Dr. Ekers met with the dean Prof. Dr. Franc Forstnerič.
